MICHAEL WHITE

Aviation Art

ABOUT

Mike is of Scottish descent and moved to New Zealand at age 23. From an early age he has had an interest in art together with classic WWII aircraft, building many plastic models in his youth. Mike’s earlier paintings were in watercolour but from the age of 16 he has been painting exclusively in oils, his main theme being landscape paintings. Recently, his attention turned exclusively towards Aviation art which he has taken up with vigour. As evidenced by the background of his paintings, Mike combines the skills he has achieved over many years as a landscape artist with his love and appreciation for classic aircraft. Mike has been accepted as an artist member of the American Society of Aviation Artists.
